politics for the past hundred years

Mark twain once said

"The political and commercial morals of the United States are not merely food for laughter, they are in entire banquet."

It's amazing the attitudes regarding politics and politicians, I guess I should say the bad attitudes and how long they've been around. With the exception of the politicians themselves, very few people have anything good to say about politicians.

Politics never changes

"In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a Congress". John Adams

Silence

If you don't think the policies of Pres. Obama are dangerous, read " A Death Of Silence" by former mayor Koch, of New York, and a democrat. Pres. Obama seems to be alienating our allies and buttering up our opponents. Next thing you know he will invite the leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah to the White House. Read the "The First American Dictator" and see what the outcome of his policies leads to.

AESOPS Fables

Unfortunately the following quote from Aesop is not one of his fables.

"We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office".

2nd amendment

In light of Atty. Gen. Erich Holders recent statement that the Second Amendment doesn't give us the right to bear arms, I think this quote from Thomas Jefferson is more important than ever.

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against Tyranny in Government"

Duty

"When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty". Thomas Jefferson

Government scoundrels

Perhaps now more than ever we should remember some of the sayings of our founding fathers.

Thomas Jefferson said "The two enemies of the people are criminals and government. So let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so that the second will not become the legal version of the first"

another interesting quote I would like to point out came from Norman Thomas the Socialist party candidate for president in the late 30s and 40s. Mr. Thomas made the following statement.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism" they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened"

He went on to say " I NO LONGER NEED TO RUN AS A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR THE SOCIALIST PARTY.

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY HAS ADOPTED OUR PLATFORM"

I intend to use the above quote on the back cover of the follow-up book to " The First American Dictator" along with this one I find interesting from Stalin.

Stalin once said, "when we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope".

Read "The First American Dictator" I think you will find it very interesting and entirely plausible.

Presidential lies

How can the president of the United States be shown on TV time after time telling a different story than one he told previously, and in fact what appears to be outright lies, not be impeached.

"The First American Dictator"

My own book now worries me that it could come true. Please read the quote on the back cover and see if you don't believe so also.
